Harry Eugene "Skeeter" Barron, 78, of Hampstead, died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House.

Born Jan. 16, 1935, in Mount Washington, he was the son of the late Elizabeth Danmyer Barron and John Edward Barron. He was the husband of Janet Wilhelm Barron.

Before retiring, he was employed with the Baltimore County Bureau of Utilities. He was a member of the Jephthah Lodge No. 222 A.F. & A.M. in Essex, the Civil Defense and the American Quarter Horse Association. He served as president of the Reisterstown React Association and was a private pilot. He enjoyed spending time with his dog Jorgie.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are daughters and son-in-law Janet and William Ashe, of Millers, and Shirley Buck and fiance Craig Sharpe, of Manchester; brothers William, Louis, Robert and Herbert Barron; a sister, Mary Troyer; grandchildren Michael Buck, Christine Buck and Ryan Ashe; and great-grandchildren Robert Hill and Levi Buck.

He was predeceased by a sister, Anna Julia; and brothers John and Benjamin Barron.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
