Harry P. Hesson

Harry Perry Hesson, 92, of Hanover, Pa., died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at Hanover Hall Nursing Home.

Born Dec. 25, 1919, in Westminster, he was a son of the late Charles M. and Gladys I. Perry Hesson. He was the husband of the late Margaret A. Vogt Hesson, his wife of 60 years.

He had worked for Chishom-Ryder, NuWay Packaging, Pillow-Tex and numerous other places as a machinist. He also owned and operated Hesson's Engineering, and was an Army veteran of World War II.

Surviving are daughter Jo Anne Garrett and husband Bradley, of Hanover; a son, Charles R. Hesson, of Hanover; grandchildren Kristin Cukauskas and husband Michael, and Todd Garrett and wife Michelle, all of Hanover, and Kyle H. Heidler, of Missouri; and great-grandchildren Taylor Leonard, Jordyn Cukauskas, Makayla Garrett and Zachery Garrett, all of Hanover.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia A. Heidler; a son-in-law, Kenneth H. Heidler; and a sister, Phyllis Hesson.

Private graveside services will be held in Rest Haven Cemetery, with the Rev. Bruce P. Bouchard, of Grace United Church of Christ, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jackson, FL 32256.
