Hattie Louise Iverson, 88, of Westminster, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House.

Born Nov. 15, 1924, in Takoma Park, she was the daughter of the late Best and Louise Teske Seek. She was the wife of John L. Iverson, who died in 1995.

She was a registered nurse and had worked at the Washington Sanitarium and Hospital for 35 years.

She enjoyed quilting with the Patapsco United Methodist Women's Auxiliary, swimming at the Westminster YMCA and listening to music at the North Carroll Senior Center.

Surviving are daughters Linda Anderson and S. Diane Iverson, both of Westminster.

She was predeceased by siblings Charles, Vincent, Walter, Edith and William Seek.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Patapsco United Methodist Church, 2930 Patapsco Road, Finksburg, with Carroll Hospice Chaplain David Bare officiating. A private interment will be held at the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Carroll Hospice Dove House, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.

Arrangements are by Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel in Westminster.
