Hattie Logue Helm, 98, of Westminster, died Friday, April 1, 2016, at Golden Crest Assisted Living in Hampstead. Born June 19, 1917 in Carroll County, she was the daughter of the late Laura Tatman Logue and George Logue. She was the wife of the late Radcliffe M. "Bud" Helm. Before retiring she was employed 29 ½ years as Executive Director of the Carroll County Chapter of The American Red Cross. She attended Western Maryland College, now McDaniel College with specialization in social work. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and member of Order of the Eastern Star. She was a seamstress, enjoyed playing bridge, needlework and traveling the USA. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, James R. and Donna Helm of Westminster, 5 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by numerous brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at 11 A.M. at Grace Lutheran Church, 21 Carroll St., Westminster, with Revs. Kevin and Martha Clementson co-officiating. Interment will follow in Krider's Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to service time.
