Hazel Catherine Wagner, 89, of Pleasant Valley, formerly of Randallstown, died Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Lorien of Taneytown.

Born Dec. 9, 1924, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late William W. Collins and Grace E. Collins. She was the wife of George E. Wagner, who died in 1991.

She worked in the family business and volunteered for many years at Northwest Hospital and Carroll Hospital Center. She enjoyed playing Scrabble, working in her yard and spending time with her great-grandchildren.

Surviving are son John E. "Jack" Wagner and daughter-in-law Nancy; grandsons and wives Brian and Sara Wagner, and Scott and Rebecca Wagner; and great-granddaughters Allison and Amy.

She was predeceased by a brother, Melvin W. Collins Sr.

In her lifelong giving spirit, she gifted her body for medical education and research.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Matthew's United Church of Christ, 1427 Pleasant Valley Road, Westminster, with Deacon Charles E. Barnhart Jr. officiating.
