Hazel Loftice Fritz, 87, of Westminster, died Monday, July 22, 2013, at Long View Nursing Home in Manchester.

Born June 6, 1926, in Rose Hill, Va., she was the daughter of the late John Henry and Alice Neff Loftice. She was the wife of Ervin Elwood Fritz, her husband of 69 years.

She was a bus driver for the ARC. She was a member of Meadow Branch Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed playing bingo, traveling to Charles Town, W.Va., and Atlantic City to play the slot machines, and especially spending time with her family.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are children and spouses Donna L. Eckard, and Rhonda G. and Richard Magruder Jr., all of Westminster, Jeffrey W. Fritz, of Rockville, and Teresa D. and Rob Goss, of Reisterstown; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was the last of nine siblings. She was predeceased by a son-in-law, David Eckard.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Meadow Branch Church of the Brethren, 818 Old Taneytown Road, Westminster, with Chaplain Ann Schlossnagle officiating. Interment will be in Meadow Branch Cemetery.
