Helen Huenemeyer, 74, of Westminster, died Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, after a long illness.

Born Aug. 18, 1939, in Nanticoke, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John and Agnes Pillar. She was the wife of the late Robert Huenemeyer, who died May 2, 2002.

She had been a bookkeeper at Cardinal Gibbons High School. She was active in the Carroll County Republican Party, the Westminster Senior Center and St. John Catholic Church. She enjoyed flower gardening and traveling.

Surviving are children Ann Brackett, of Cary, N.C., Linda Eby, of Ellicott City, Roger Huenemeyer, of Elkridge, and Janice Gonder, of Reisterstown; a sister, Anna Sauter, of Parkville; and grandchildren Kevin, Sarah, Andrew, Sophia and Peyton.

She was predeceased by siblings Mary Peplinski and Andrew Pillar.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster, with Father John Lesnick officiating. Interment will follow at Meadow Branch Cemetery.
