Helen Louise Flohr, 87, of Baltimore, died Tuesday morning, July 9, 2013, at home.

Born June 28, 1926, in Black River Falls, Wis., she was the daughter of the late Mary Nemic Kapina and John Kapina. She was the wife of Norman Harry Flohr, her husband of 66 years.

She was a homemaker and member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Pikesville, where she was very active in the church.

She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the America's for more than 55 years, where she served as past regent. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and traveling with her family, having been to all 50 states.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are daughters Patty Faust and husband Donald, of Bel Air, and Kathy Reid, of Lockport, Fla.; sisters-in-law Madelyn Nusbaum and Marilyn Caple; a goddaughter, Mary Kmak; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Hauk; and a brother, John Kapina.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster, with Monsignor Lloyd E. Aiken officiating. Interment will follow in Westminster Cemetery.
