Helen Carr, 93, of Westminster, passed Saturday, September 3, 2016, at Golden Living Nursing Center. Born May 13, 1923 in Silver Run, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Edgar J. and Cora Bell (nee Buckston) Dell. She was the beloved wife of the late Jesse Nathan Carr. Helen was a homemaker most of her life. She enjoyed being able to take care of her large family. She loved them deeply and enjoyed their company. Helen also enjoyed traveling. She would take trips with close friends Faye and Donald Dell. She frequented locations like Alaska and Hawaii. She is survived by her children Betty Flickinger and husband Marvin, Samuel Carr, Joan Triplett and husband William, Carolyn Conaway, and Harvey Carr; grandchildren Cheryl Brown, Samuel Carr Jr. and wife Terry, Shay Carr, Wanda Noyes and husband Tom, Billy Triplett Jr. and wife Tammy, Jennifer Kemp and husband Mark, and Jim Conaway Jr. and wife Staci; sisters-in-law Pauline Lenker and Wilda Dell; brother-in-law Scott Carr and wife Thelma; 17 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by son Nathan Carr; siblings Ruth Welk, Paul Dell, Charles Dell, Raymond Dell, Mary Wern, and Cora Wentz; son-in-law Jim Conaway Sr.; daughter-in-law Suzanne Carr; and great grandchild Hailey Triplett. All funeral services for Helen will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to St. Benjamin's Lutheran Church, 700 Krider's Cemetery Road, Westminster, MD 21158.
