Henry Thomas O'Sullivan, age 70 of Sykesville, died Friday, July 25, 2014 at his home. Born December 21, 1943 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Henry M. and Marjorie Delamater O'Sullivan. He was the husband of Audrey O'Sullivan of Sykesville. He was a 30 year employee of the Federal Government, retiring from the Social Security Administration in July 2004. He was a 1962 graduate of Mount St. Joseph High School. He was a Scout Master from 1980-85. He had been a coach, manager and umpire with the Sykesville Baseball program and had served on their Board of Directors. He had been an umpire with Mason-Dixon Umpires for 10 years and with the Blue Devils organization. He was a member of the Sykesville American Legion Post 223. He was an active member of St. Alphonsus Rodriguez Catholic Church in Woodstock where he was responsible for scheduling the grass cutters. He was a member of Ravens Nest #14. Surviving in addition to his wife are sons and daughters-in-law Brian A. and Melanie O'Sullivan of Bear, DE, Christopher T. and Charla O'Sullivan of Frederick, and Patrick H. O'Sullivan of Charlotte, NC, grandchildren Matthew, Megan, Timothy, Sean and Eden, brothers and sister-in-law Michael R. O'Sullivan and William A. and Bonnie O'Sullivan, all of Eldersburg, sister and brother-in-law Mary and Anthony Mendiola of Mt. Airy, aunt Sally Smithson of Potomac, and nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Rd., Sykesville on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8pm. A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM at St. Alphonsus Rodriguez Catholic Church, 10800 Old Court Road, Woodstock. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157 or to the Nathan Chris Baker Foundation, P.O. Box 994, Sykesville, MD 21784.
