Herbert Edmund Adami, 90, of Westminster, died Thursday, June 28, 2012, at Golden Living Center in Westminster.

Born March 4, 1922, in Cologne, Germany, he was the son of the late August and Jeanette Fröhlich Adami. Twice married, he was the husband of the late Roma Buczek Adami and the late Isobell Elaine Gordon Putnam Adami.

He had worked as a dry cleaner. He was employed by Polovoy Cleaners in Baltimore for 37 years.

Following retirement in 1984, he lived in Florida for several years, where he was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. He enjoyed photography, gardening, walking and maintaining his aquarium.

Surviving are sons Henry A. Adami, of Manchester, Andrew A. Adami, of Hampstead and Edmund G. Adami, of Clarksville; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3184 Church Road, Manchester, with his pastor, the Rev. Matthew Schenning officiating. Interment will be in Hampstead Cemetery.
