Herman Coyt "Bud" Taylor, 79, of Marriottsville, died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, at home.

Born June 9, 1934, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late William Vinton Taylor and Ruth Elizabeth Meiser Taylor. He was the husband of Ruth Arlene Crouse Taylor, his wife of 57 years.

He was a self-employed stone mason. He enjoyed family and friends, reading, movies and traveling. He belonged to the McDonald's Club in Ellicott City.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are children Michelle Butt, of Marriottsville and Samuel Taylor, of Eldersburg; grandchildren Matthew and Michael Butt, and Olivia and Sara "Claire" Taylor; brothers William Taylor, of Riviera Beach, and Ronald Taylor, of Chase; and a sister, Donna Lazusky, of Baltimore.

Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills.

 A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Douglas Hoffman officiating. Interment will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
