Howard Blaine Frymier, 75, of Glenville, West Virginia, formerly of Westminster, died Saturday morning, June 14, 2014, at Crestview Manor Rehabilitation Center in Jane Lew, West Virginia, after an extended illness.

Born Jan. 12, 1939, in Glenville, he was the son of the late John Wesley and Marguerite Engle Frymier. He was the former husband of Jacqueline Kay Miller, whom he married Sept. 29, 1963.

He graduated from Glenville High School and volunteered for the Air Force, serving a four?year term. He then returned home and received his Bachelor of Arts teaching degree from Glenville State College. He taught in Baltimore County before moving to Carroll County, where he retired after 30 years of service to education. He was a member of the Camden Flats Baptist Church.

Surviving, in addition to his former wife, are children Alan Clark Frymier and Kimberly Kay Frymier; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers Francis Frymier and wife Betty, and Clarence Frymier and wife Barbara; sister Rita and husband Denzil Huff.

He was predeceased by brothers Willard and Patrick Frymier.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of a memorial service, 11 a.m. July 12 at Camden Flats Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dwight Goff officiating.

A celebration of life will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, June 26, at Maggie's Restaurant and Pub, 310 E. Green St., Westminster.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Howard Frymier Westminster High School Scholarship Fund, care of Community Foundation of Carroll County, 255 Clifton Blvd., Suite 313, Westminster, MD 21157.
