Howard Eugene "Howie" Price, 82, of Mount Airy, died Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House in Westminster.

Born Dec. 9, 1930, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Cecil Henry Price and the late Ida Mae Maddox Price. He was the husband of Nancy A. McDonnell Price.

He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War as a S/SGT. He was an insurance agent for State Farm Insurance Companies for 55 years.

He was a member of the Lions, Knights Of Columbus, Colt Corral, Old Timers Baseball and Fast Pitch.

Surviving are children Victoria Price Helvig, of Owings Mills, Susan Price Siperko and husband Gary, of Gettysburg, Pa., Gary Michael Price and wife Marion, of New Brunswick, N.J., Pamela Price O'Bryhim and husband Joseph, of Eldersburg; step-daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Troy Slifer, of Mount Airy, Leonard A. Williams Jr., and Lynn Williams, all of Hampstead; 17 grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville.

A memorial funeral mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Community, 915 Liberty Road, Eldersburg, with the Rev. David McGuigan officiating. Inurnment, with military honors, will be in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be sent to Carroll Hospice's Dove House, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.
