Ida Mae Bond, 80, of Taneytown, died Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore.

Born on Dec. 16, 1932, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late George and Jeannette Smith Hinks. She was the wife of Donald W. Bond for 60 years.

She was a homemaker. She was of the Methodist faith. She was a volunteer for many years with the Gamber Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed ceramics for more than 40 years. She also enjoyed playing bingo, cooking and baking.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are children Kathy Dell and her companion Steve Jenkins, of New Windsor, and Lisa Gorsuch and her husband Keith, of Taneytown; and brother Lawrence Hinks, of Severna Park.

She was predeceased by sisters Jeannette Barath and Betty Lou Zelinka.

The family will receive friends from 3 p.m Tuesday until the time of a memorial service at 4 p.m. at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster. Officiating will be Rev. Steve Dawson. Interment will be private.
