Isaiah Matthew Kidwell, Sr., 65, of Westminster passed away on Monday, April 11, 2016 at the Baltimore V.A. Medical Center. Born November 29, 1950 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Thomas E. and Erma (Flowers) Kidwell. He was the husband of Deborah L. (Fisher) Kidwell, his wife of 45 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army from 1969 - 1971, serving in Vietnam with 101st Airborne, 2nd Battalion, 327th Infantry. Upon returning from Vietnam he served in the Honor Guard out of Fort Hamilton, New York and in the Army Reserves for 6 years. He worked as a letter carrier for the U.S.P.S. for 36 years, retiring in 2005. He was a member of the American Legion Post 31 and a life member of the V.F.W. Molleville-Farm Post 467 both. He enjoyed going on cruises, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed his dog and best friend, Keno. Surviving in addition to his wife are children I. Matthew Kidwell, Jr. and wife Mary of Sykesville, Shawn Kidwell and wife Alison of Sykesville and Theresa Brown and husband Dave of Westminster; grandchildren Cody Brown, Justin Kidwell, Ashlynn Kidwell, Gavin Kidwell and Ava Brown. Also survived by sister-in-law Kathleen Ochrzcin of Lutherville. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 18th from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 pm at the Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 19th at 12:30 pm at the funeral home with Deacon Joe Cinquino officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Maryland Veterans Cemetery at Garrison Forest with the Very Reverend Conan Timoney officiating. Online condolences may be offered to the family at
