Jacqueline Ann Tumblin, 59, of Martinsburg, W.Va., formerly of Sykesville, died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.

Born Sept. 2, 1954, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of Carl Richard Blizzard and Dorothy C. Stran Blizzard, of Berlin, Md. She was the wife of David Lee Tumblin Sr.

She was known as a fun-loving person, full of joy, with a heart of gold, always willing to do for others, and always a smile on her face. She loved baking, gardening, trips to Ocean City and time spent with family. She also worked as a day care provider for many years.

Surviving, in addition to her parents and husband, are sons and daughters-in-law Ronald C. Prietz Jr. and Amy Prietz, of Marriottsville, Scott R. Prietz and Danielle Prietz, of Eldersburg, and Jonathan H. Prietz and Kimberly Prietz, of Sykesville; step-son and daughter-in-law David L. Tumblin Jr. and Tarin Tumblin, of Middleway, W.Va.; brothers and sisters-in-law Bruce R. and Annette Blizzard, and Russell F. and Bonnie K. Blizzard; and grandchildren Tyler, Brayden, Bryson, Madison, Brinley, Makenna and Logan.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of a funeral service, 11 a.m. Tuesday at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park.

Memorial donations may be sent to Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center, 750 E. Pratt St., Ste. 1700, Baltimore, MD 21202, with "In Memory of Jacqueline Tumblin" in memo.
