Jacqueline Virginia Blonkowski, 89, of Westminster, formerly of South River, N.J., and Newark, Del., died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at Lorien of Taneytown.

Born Feb. 24, 1923, in Petersburg, Va., she was the daughter of the late Jesse Frank and Eva Haden Atchely. She was the wife of Bruno H. Blonkowski, her husband of 68 years.

She was a doctor's assistant in a private practice, and a homemaker.

She was a member of the General Federation of Women's Club, East Brunswick, N.J., and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She recently was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and was a former member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in South River, where she sang in the church choir.

She was the last of her immediate family.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are son James and wife Alice Blonkowski, of Pleasant Valley; a daugher, Jacqueline Edmond, of Florida; grandchildren Kathryn Nelson, of Chapel Hill, N.C., Julianne Blonkowski, of Westminster, Christopher Kraft, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and Kenneth Kraft, of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.; and great-grandchildren Loki and Joule Nelson, of Chapel Hill.

She was predeceased by a brother, Frank Atchley; and a sister, Betty Jane Atchely.

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until the time of Catholic prayer service, 6 p.m. Wednesday at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent, to benefit victims of Hurricane Sandy, to the American Red Cross of Central New Jersey, 707 Alexander Road, Suite 101, Princeton, NJ 08540.
