James Albert Kistner, 64, died unexpectedly on November 11, 2014 at his home. Born June 10, 1950 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Albert and Annabelle Still Kistner. He was the husband of Tara Kleinfelter Kistner, whom he married on August 23, 1985. Jim had been a hydraulic equipment repairman and part owner of Hydraulic Service, Inc. He was a 1968 graduate of Franklin High School and then served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, skydiving, woodworking, had a Black Belt in Karate, and was known as a Grilling Master. He especially enjoyed being with his family and granddaughters and loved his dogs Barkley and Bella. Surviving in addition to his wife is son Kevin C. Kistner of New Orleans, LA; son and daughter-in-law Craig E. and Laura Kistner of Pasadena, CA; sister and brother-in-law Darlene and Terry Becker of Westminster and granddaughters Jane and Coralin Kistner. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12 noon until the start of the Memorial Service at 1:00 pm at PRITTS FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster. Officiating will be his good friend Bob Kellner. Interment will be private.
