James Leslie Kelly, 87, of Westminster, died Wednesday March 25, 2015, at home. Born February 7, 1928 in Emmitsburg, he was the son of the late Guy Leslie Kelly and Ruth Recher Kelly. He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Alice Laverne Kelly, who died April 2, 2013. Before retiring, he worked for over 40 years at Black and Decker in Hampstead. He served in the Army during WWII and was a member of the American Legion Carroll Post #31. He is survived by his son, Terry L. Kelly of Westminster, stepson Michael Stonesifer and wife Darlene of Gettysburg, PA, sister Virginia "Ginny" Knox of Taneytown, special niece Susie Alban of Lineboro and devoted friend Sharon Layman of Union Bridge. He was predeceased by his brother Bill Kelly. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 254 E. Main Street in Westminster with Deacon Charles Barnhart officiating. Inurnment will be at Deer Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
