James Lewis Few, 68, of Westminster, died Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Gettysburg Hospital, following a four-year illness. Born January 8, 1946 in Carroll County, he was the son of the late Carroll M. and Helen E. Hann Few. He was the husband of Connie Dull Few, his wife of 49 years. Mr. Few was a well-known dairy farmer of 45 years in the Taneytown area. He enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his family and friends. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Kevin Lee Few and fiancée, Dorothy Caple, and John Carroll Few and wife, Stacey, all of Taneytown; five grandsons; two granddaughters; two great-grandsons; one great-granddaughter; brothers, Carroll, LeRoy and Ronald Few, all of Taneytown, and Richard Few of Keymar; and a sister, Shirley Snyder of Taneytown. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Few of Keymar. The family will receive friends at Hartzler Funeral Home, 404 S. Main St., Woodsboro, on Tuesday, Sept. 16 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Creagerstown Cemetery.
