James P. Mroczka

James Paul Mroczka, 62, of Westminster, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House.

Born Oct. 16, 1950, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Joseph Andrew Mroczka and Virginia Lee Takin Mroczka Hildebrandt. He was the husband of Marlene R. Conrad Mroczka, his wife of 34 years.

He was a graduate of St. Anthony High School in Washington, D.C., and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1969 until 1975. He was a lead man in rail car maintenance for the Washington Metro.

He was of the Episcopal faith.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are son Joseph D. Mroczka, of Westminster; sister Rev. Mary A. Mroczka, of Dansville, N.Y.; granddaughters Caroline G. Mroczka and Abigail I. Myers, both of Gardeners, Pa.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service, with military honors, 11 a.m. July 27 at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster, with the Rev. Dave Bare officiating. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Carroll Hospice's Dove House, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, 21157.
