James Thomas Redmond, 81, of Woodbine, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at Carroll Hospital Center.

Born Feb. 9, 1931, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Floyd and Ethel Redmond. He was the husband of Flora Ann Redmond, who died in 2007.

He was a turf farmer for White's Turf Farm for many years.

Surviving are daughter Barbara Ann Lamm and husband Bert, of Woodbine; sons David Redmond and wife Faith, of Pennsylvania, and James D. Redmond, of California; five grandchildren, including Megan Lamm, who resided with him; three great-grandchildren; and brothers Sam and George Redmond.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville.

A funeral service will held at 12:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Mount Airy.
