Rev. James F.W. Talley, 76, of New Windsor, died unexpectedly Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016 at his home. Born July 6, 1940 in Cincinnati, OH, he was the son of the late Rev. James H. and Marie Cornelius Talley. He was the husband of Kimberly Ann Talley, his companion of nearly seven years. He received a B.A. in political science/history from the University of Maryland, College Park, a J.D. in general law from the University of Baltimore and a Masters of Divinity from Wesley Theological Seminary, Washington, D.C. His early career was spent as a realtor. He later felt a calling to the Methodist ministry, serving several churches in Carroll County, retiring from Asbury United Methodist Church, Arnold. The last several years he spent time with Meals on Wheels, delivering meals throughout Carroll County. He loved tinkering with household projects, John Deere tractors and being outdoors. However, most of all, he loved his daughters and spending time with his family. He was incredibly proud of his grandchildren's accomplishments.
