On March 24, 2015, 48 year Lutherville resident Jan Wahlgren suddenly passed at the age of 82. Born in Cambridge, MA, she was a legal secretary when she married Bob Wahlgren of Brockton, MA. Jan loved being a stay-at-home mom raising three children. She later taught at Havenwood Preschool and was very active in the church as well, serving as Deacon, Elder, Trustee and Moderator for Presbyterian Women. Jan enjoyed volunteering for the BSO. She was a member of The Halten Garden Club, frequently winning prizes for her beautiful daffodils. She also enjoyed book club, traveling, painting and entertaining. She was a long time member of Havenwood Presbyterian Church, she served in numerous posts and organized many events. Jan will be greatly missed by her loving husband Bob of 63 years and her children, Bruce Wahlgren of Finksburg, MD, Lisa Moskios of Timonium, MD and Doug Wahlgren of Wellington, FL. Grandchildren include Nathan Wahlgren, Allyson Brothers, Stephanie Moskios, Emily Moskios and twins Daniel and Samuel Wahlgren. The family will receive friends at Peaceful Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Center, P.A. 2325 York Rd., Timonium, MD 21093 on Friday, March 27, 2015 from 4-6 PM. A service celebrating Jan's life will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the Havenwood Presbyterian Church, 100 E. Ridgely Rd., Timonium, MD 21093 beginning at 11 AM.
