Jason Lee Schneider, 36, of Manchester, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, in the line of duty. 

Born Feb. 11, 1977, in California, he was the son of Charles Dennis Schneider and Karen Ann Buchheister Schneider. He was the husband of Ericka Nicole Fulton Schneider.

He was a 1995 graduate of North Carroll High School. He served honorably with the Marine Corps. He was a Baltimore County police officer; in addition to his duties as an officer, he was a member of the Baltimore County Police Swat Team for nine years.

Surviving, in addition to his parents and wife, are children Brandon and Kayla; brothers and spouses Kenneth and Autumn Schneider, of Hampstead, and Michael and Nicole Schneider, of Westminster; and many other relatives and friends.

Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester.

A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church, 2930 Hanover Pike, Manchester, with the Rev. Michael Roach officiating. Interment will be held in Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens in Timonium.
