Jayson Carl Bowen, 72, of Union Bridge passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Carroll Hospital Center. Born September 20, 1942, in Ohio, he was the son of the late Leonard Daniel and Irene (DePew) Bowen. He was the husband of Patricia S. "Pat" (Ecker) Bowen, his wife of 50 years. Mr. Bowen was a 1960 graduate of Westminster Senior High School. He served in the Army Reserve during Vietnam. He was the original owner of Bowen Auto, in Westminster, retiring in 1993. The business is currently owned and operated by his son and grandson. Mr. Bowen was a member of the "Roundtable Club" at the New Windsor Inn and he collected numerous automobiles, motorcycles and tractors. He enjoyed fishing, boating, crossword puzzles and spending time with his family. He was a truly generous man, who believed that the greatest gift you could give someone is your time. He especially felt that you should always "pay it forward." Surviving in addition to his wife are son Aaron Jayson Bowen and wife Joanne; grandson Daniel Aaron Bowen and granddaughter Emily Lauren Bowen, all of Union Bridge. A Celebration of Life will be held on his Birthday, Sunday, September 20th from 1-5pm at the American Legion, Carroll Post 31 at the corner of Sycamore & Green St. Interment was private.
