Jean Doreen Binkley, 83, of Reisterstown, died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012, at home.
Born Oct. 2, 1928, in Milwaukee, Wis., she was the daughter of the late Howard and Ethel English. She was the wife of Harry Binkley, whom she married in 1958.
She and her husband started Wood Gait Farms, which they ran for more than 50 years. They were well known in the horse industry. She was retired from the Baltimore Country Club where she worked until her late 70s.
She enjoyed playing bridge and was still actively playing.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are children Marc and Todd Binkley, and Lori Quinn; grandchildren Oliver, Hunter, Ashley and Tara; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Viola "Sis" Clements.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
