Jean Elizabeth Blair, 85, of Westminster, formerly of Winfield, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Carroll Lutheran Village in Westminster. Born September 24, 1929 in Frederick, MD, she was the daughter of the late Edna and Earl Mumford. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis L. Blair, her husband of 47 years, who died in 1996. She graduated in 1946 from Sykesville High School and lived in the Winfield area. While in Winfield, she enjoyed homemaking, cooking, gardening, country music, visiting with neighbors, and rearing her three children. In 1996, she moved to Todd Village in Finksburg. In 2006, she moved to Sunnybrook Senior Apartments in Westminster. While there she enjoyed bingo, jigsaw puzzles, television, dining out, and the camaraderie of many friends. She had a great gift of friendliness and was loved by many. In later life, she enjoyed her travels to Florida, New England, Williamsburg, Niagara Falls, Ocean City, Pennsylvania Dutch Country, Cape May, and New York City. Surviving are daughter and son-in-law Ann and Donald Klausmeyer of Westminster, son David Blair of Baltimore, and son Michael Blair of Westminster. She is also survived by her sister June Earlene Adams of Elkridge, several cousins, nephew and wife, Gerry and Linda Bennett, and loving step-grandchildren Chuck Klausmeyer and Sheila and Allan Dale; step-great-grandchildren Brandon and Hannah Dale. She was predeceased by niece Patricia Bennett. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at PRITTS FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1:00pm at the funeral home with Chaplain Jimmie Schwartz officiating. Internment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park on Liberty Road in Eldersburg. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Maryland, 200 East Joppa Rd. Suite 407, Towson MD., 21286 or the , 1393 Progress Way, Suite 908, Eldersburg MD 21784.
