Jeffery Wayne Mathis, 45, formerly of Westminster, died Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014.

Born May 5, 1968, in Carroll County, he was the son of Florence M. Windsor, of Byron, Ga., and the late Calvin R. Mathis.

He had previously worked as a carpenter around the Frederick area. He enjoyed playing the guitar.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are sister Connie S. Yingling and husband James, of New Windsor; and nephews Travis J. Yingling, Christopher A. Yingling and Brandon R. Yingling.

He was predeceased by an uncle, Roger Mathis.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of memorial service, 2 p.m. Saturday at Hartzler Funeral Home, 310 Church St., New Windsor, with Deacon Charles E. Barnhart, pastor of Keysville Lutheran Church, officiating.
