Jill D. Thomas, 48, of Westminster, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at home.

Born Feb. 1, 1964, in Harrisburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Shirley Shively Boyer. She was the wife of Ronald William Thomas, her husband of 22 years.

She was a 1982 graduate from Susquehanna Township High School in Harrisburg. She then graduated from Shippensburg University in 1986 and later earned her master's degree from Western Maryland College in 1990. She was a teacher and had taught for 26 years at Westminster Elementary School.

She was a member of Greenmount United Methodist Church and most recently Jennings Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a Yankee and Ravens fan. She enjoyed reading, traveling, and especially spending time with family and friends.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are children Zachary Ronald Thomas and Olivia Denise Thomas, both of Westminster; sister and brother-in-law Brenda B. and Lou Waleff, of Harrisburg; aunt and uncle Doris and Al Kirkpatrick, of Elizabethtown, Pa.; a niece, Megan Waleff; and a nephew, Dustin Waleff.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with her pastor, the Rev. Jerry Grace officiating. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery in Hampstead.
