Jo Ann Bardeen, of Eldersburg, MD, originally from Woodlawn, MD. Lifetime member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church. Jo was the daughter of the late Charles Putnam and the late Helen Crismer Putnam. She is survived by her daughter Michelle Norris and future son-in-law Rick Harris, former son in law Dennis Norris, daughter Karen Harris, granddaughter Karen Rainier and her husband Josh Rainier, grandson Denny Norris, granddaughter Min-li Cary and her husband Rai Cary, and great-grandchildren Wyatt Rainier, Avett Rainier, Alex Cary and Gwennie Cary. Jo was a caring, selfless woman who had an everlasting love for her family. Always happy and often laughing, she had seemingly endless energy. She was passionate about her longtime business as an income tax preparer and her career as a bookkeeper. She loved traveling with her family. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, entertaining and reading. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 21, 2016, from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7pm and Tuesday, November 22, 2016, from 2 to 3pm at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 3pm at the funeral home. Interment will be private. Those desiring may make memorial donations to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157 or to Maryland Food Bank, 2200 Halethorpe Farms Rd., Baltimore, MD 21227.
