Joan Constance Hough, 75, of Westminster, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2014 with her family by her side at University of Maryland Medical Center-Shock Trauma due to a brief illness. Born on April 18, 1939 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Otto and Hilda Einolf. She was the beloved mother of Sheri Falkenstine and her husband, Rick of Westminster. She was also the adored nana to Jocelyn and Cole Falkenstine. She is also survived by her sister Betty and brother-in-law Bob Ridgell, of Westminster and sister Helen Addicks of Baltimore; and by nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers Charles and Donald Einolf. Joan enjoyed spending time with her family at home sitting on the deck and playing bingo. She loved riding in her little red car taking her grandchildren to school in the mornings. She also found joy in everything she did. She will be missed greatly by all who knew her. She retired after 29 years of service from Walkersville High School Food Sevice in 2008. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster. Services will be held on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private. As Joan was an animal lover, in lieu of flowers, please send donations to your local SPCA.
