Joan Emma Holland, 80, of Boring, died Thursday, July 11, 2013, at Carroll Hospital Center.

Born Jan. 23, 1933, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Edward Joseph Dunn and Katherine Ann Biegel Dunn. She was the wife of Robert C. Holland.

She was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church and former member of the Piney Branch Golf Club. In past years, she was an avid bowler.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are children Sharon Ann and husband Harry Corwell, of Berlin, Md., and Robert Craig Holland and his companion Rose Ducharme, of Westminster; grandchildren Tiffany Holland Audlin and husband Kevin, Brandon Matthew Holland and wife Christina, and Kyle Elliott; great-grandchildren Abigail and Sydney Audlin, Brayden and Cora Holland; and cousin Edward Schoolfield.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Harry Krolus officiating. Interment will be held in Loudon Park Cemetery. The family invites friends to join them afterwards at J & P Pizza, 903 Main St., Hampstead, for a gathering of fellowship and refreshments.
