John Bernard "Bernie" Dull, 72, of Westminster, died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at Carroll Hospital Center.

Born Jan. 10, 1941, in Carroll County, he was the son of the late Vivian Minnie Greenholtz and Jasper Dull. He was the husband of B. Marlene Mann Dull, his wife of 53 years.

He was a 1959 graduate of Westminster High School. He owned and operated J.B. Dull Construction.

He was a member of Pleasant Valley Lions Club, the Littlestown Eagles and Zion United Methodist Church. He enjoyed woodcraft, motorcycle riding, blue grass music and he repaired everything.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are son and daughter-in-law Ike and Robin Dull, of Westminster; a daughter, Dawn Crandell, of Ocean City; a sister, Dot Dayhoff, of Linwood; a brother, Charles M. "Skeeter" Dull, of Littlestown, Pa.; a sister-in-law, Jeri Dull, of Westminster; a brother-in-law, Ben Meyer, of Westminster; grandchildren Ashley Thompson, Christopher Griffith, Emily Crandell, Rachel Crandell and Jeremy Dull; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

He was predeceased by a sister, Dixie Meyer; and a brother, Cliff Dull.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Andrew Reisberg officiating. Interment will be private.
