John Dennis Boose, 67, of Westminster, died Thursday, January 11, 2018. Born May 17, 1950 in Hanover, PA, he was the son of John F. Boose and Ethel Green Boose. He graduated from Westminster High School in 1968. He spent many years working with his father as a home builder and later for the State of MD Correction Department. Additionally, he was a licensed Real Estate Agent, working with J.F. Erb and most recently the Billingslea Group. He enjoyed watching auto races and attended the Indy 500 several times and many other auto races over the years. He enjoyed playing pool and with his friends and won several league championships and tournaments. He was an avid Maryland Basketball and Baltimore Orioles fan. He loved vacationing in Wildwood, NJ. More than anything John loved his dogs Gismo and Zach as they travelled with him most everywhere. He was a member of the American Legion Carroll Post No. 31,VFW Molleville Farm Post No. 467, The Loyal Order of Moose No. 1381 and was a registered Organ Donor. He is survived by many cousins and friends. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his loving brother Steve Boose and his faithful dog Gismo. Family and friends may call on Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Memorial services will be held at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home to defray funeral expenses.
