John Thomas Drews, 74, of Finksburg, died Sunday, August 9, 2015, at his residence. Born Sept 19, 1940 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Alice Mann Drews and John C. Drews. Survived by his wife of 41 years, Gloria J. (McElwee) Drews. In addition to his wife, he is survived by children and spouses Kimberly and Reg Billings of Evansville, IN, Brent and Donya Billings of Point of Rocks, MD and Tom and Melissa Drews of Taneytown, a sister and brother-in-law Mary and William Lewis of Selbyville, DE, grandchildren Leah, Kyle, Tahanee, Jake, Miriya, Melaina and 2 great-grandchildren, Piper and Winnie. He was predeceased by a sister Joyce Kurtz. He was very proud of his long time employment with Adecco Technical, supporting various federal government programs. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, decorating for Christmas and was an avid Ravens fan. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Art Monroe officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg. Memorial contributions may be made to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.
