John Joseph DeCarlo (88), of Hanover, Pennsylvania, died on Friday, March 27, 2015 at his home surrounded by family. Born October 15 1926 in Baltimore, Maryland he was the son of the late Eugene and Margaret DeCarlo. He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Maria (Pupil) DeCarlo. He is also survived by his 8 children Eugene and wife Rose Marie, Joseph and wife Brenda, Frank and wife Linda, Robert and wife Linda, Margaret DeCarlo, Mary Micriotti and husband Tony, John and wife Laura, and Raymond and wife Judy. Surviving also, his beloved dog Bruno. John J. DeCarlo was the devoted grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Raymond DeCarlo and sister Rose Marie McCabe. John was predeceased by his brothers, Joseph, Eugene, and Donald DeCarlo. John proudly served his country in the United States Army retiring 22 years of service as Sargent First Class (SFC) from the 88th Infantry Division. He served in World War II and the Korean War. Arrangements have been entrusted to Eline Funeral Home 934 S. Main Street, Hampstead where the public viewing will be held on Sunday, April 5th from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. A mass will be held on Monday, April 6 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 65 Sacred Heart Lane, Glyndon, MD. Interment with full military honors will follow at Garrison Forest Cemetery, 11501 Garrison Forest Road, Owings Mills, MD at 1:45pm.
