John Jeffrey Marley-Cass, 64, of Hampstead, died Sunday, July 29, 2012, at Carroll Hospital Center.
Born Aug. 28, 1947, in Olney, he was the son of the late John and Thelma Hines Marley-Cass. He was the husband of Barbara A. Marley-Cass, his wife of seven years.
He was a decorated veteran of Vietnam, where he received many medals including the Bronze Star. He had been a driver for Carroll Area Transit System (CATS). He was a driver for 11 years prior to his retirement. He was a member of Church of the Ascension.
He enjoyed spending time with his cat, Starr.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a brother, Wesley Roland Marley-Cass; and a sister, Barbara Marley Brown.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Church of the Ascension, 23 N. Court St., Westminster, with the Rev. Ronald S. Fisher officiating.
