John W.F. Richards, 67, of New Oxford, Pa., died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at home.

Born Jan. 23, 1945, in Exeter Devon, England, he was the son of the late John W. and Grace M. Worth Richards. He was the husband of Deborah K. Myers Richards, his wife of 14 years.

He was a graduate of North Carroll High School. He was a truck driver for Frock Bros. Trucking Inc.

He enjoyed cooking, bluegrass music, camping, fishing, woodworking, golfing and spending time with his family.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are children Christine N. Richards, of Germantown, Wesley B. Richards, of Charlotte, N.C., Jennifer M. Click, of Valdosta, Ga., Angelia D. Axline, of Frederick, and Erica M. Winpigler, of Brunswick; five grandchildren; brothers Robert L. Richards, of Hanover, Pa., and Thomas E. Richards, of Manchester; and a sister, Ann P. Calp, of Manchester.

Viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, and from noon until the time of the service to celebrate and remember his life, 1 p.m. Wednesday at Kenworthy Funeral Home, 269 Frederick St., Hanover, with the Rev. Bill Frank officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in Hanover.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
