Joseph Irving McMahon, III, age 35 of Sykesville died of natural causes at his home in Eldersburg. Born December 25, 1979 in Howard County, he was the beloved son of Joseph Irving McMahon, Jr. and Margaret (Frank) McMahon of Eldersburg. Joe played Little League Baseball as a child and was a Boy Scout in Troop 719 from first grade through high school. He was a graduate of South Carroll High School class of 1998 where he played football and track and field. After graduating from high school he worked at Block Buster for 10 years. He was attending Carroll Community College to become a Respiratory Therapist. He enjoyed reading books and watching movies. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville where a funeral service will be held on Friday at 10am. Interment Springfield Cemetery, Sykesville.
