Joyce Larue (Hagan) Baker, 72, of Westminster passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Gettysburg Hospital. She was the wife of the late Boyd James Baker, who predeceased her in 2015. Joyce was born on December 27, 1944 in Gamber, Maryland to the late Donald Omar and Clara Elizabeth (Cool) Hagan. Joyce is survived by her children; Dawn L. (Jeffrey) Marcus, Dean C. Stickles, Jr., Cheryl L. (Brian) Pickett, and Regina M. (George) Colson; stepchildren Monica J. (Patrick) O'Donnell, Christina M. Mann, Michael B. (Noelle) Baker; 24 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She also leaves two sisters, Nancy Webb and Susan Spivey, both of Westminster, as well as her Morning Glory family and her Bingo friends. In addition to her husband, Joyce was predeceased by her former husband Dean Chappell Stickles, Sr., stepson James R. Baker and sisters Regina Kesselring and Donna Moffitt. She earned her GED from Carroll County Schools. Joyce was a homemaker and also worked as a cook in various organizations throughout Carroll County. She enjoyed cooking, canning, shopping, and spending time with her family and she loved playing Bingo. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 4, 2017 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster, MD. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home, with Pastor Gary Bowers officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
