Judith E. Hooper Covell, 69, of Union Bridge, died Monday, April 21, 2014, at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster.

Born Aug. 27, 1944, in New Windsor, she was the daughter of the late William David Hooper and Hilda Marie Garver Hooper.

She was a homemaker and a member of Westminster Moose Lodge. She enjoyed dancing and music.

Surviving are children Darlene Long, Sandy Gilbert and Pam and Richie Covell; grandchildren Bradley Long, Gwen Oxendine, Lane, Brantley, Tiffany and Aliva Covell, and Travis Brannon; great-grandchildren Leland Walker and Makenzie Gregory; and longtime friend and companion Vernon "Butch" Kidd.

She was predeceased by a grandchild, Blakely Long.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. until the time of service, 8 p.m. Saturday at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville, with the Rev. Arthur Monroe officiating. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made be sent to Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville, MD 21784, to defray funeral expenses.
