Julia Ada Ridinger, 89, formerly of Harney, died early Tuesday morning, April 23, 2013, at Gettysburg Lutheran Home.

Born Jan. 12, 1924, in Harney, she was the daughter of the late Harry Franklin and Ada Almurty Wantz Angell and was the stepdaughter of Etta Downs Peck Angell. She was the wife of C. Herbert Ridinger, who died in 1995.

She was a homemaker and a farmer. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Harney, a Ladies Aid member of the church, and a Harney fire company auxiliary member.

Surviving are a daughter, Ellen Lucinda Ridinger Rogers, of Littlestown, Pa.; sons Franklin Herbert Ridinger, and Arthur Clarence Ridinger and wife Teresa, all of Taneytown; grandchildren Kristina Rodgers, James Rodgers, Jason Ridinger, Kevin Ridinger and Amy Ridinger Vargas; and a great-granddaughter, Hope Ridinger.

She was predeceased by sisters Bessie McGraw, Lethia Kump and Mabel Krumrine; and brothers Luther and Robert Angell.

Friends may call from 2 p.m. until the time of service, 3 p.m. Friday at Little's Funeral Home, 34 Maple Ave., Littlestown, with her pastor, the Rev. Matthew A. Day, officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery in Harney.
