Julia Marcelle Schrock Torkelson, 61, of Keymar, died Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at INOVA Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Va.

Born July 22, 1950, in Oregon, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Anna Roth Schrock. She was teh wife of Mark E. Torkelson.

She was a member of the Hopewell Mennonite Church in Mount Airy.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are sons James and Matthew Torkelson, of Keymar, and Michael Torkelson, of Brodhead, Wisc.; daughters Mary Klassen and husband Dave, and Joanna Plett and husband Robert, all of Austin Manitoba, Canada, Hannah and Deborah Torkelson, both of Keymar; 11 grandchildren; brothers Jason and John Schrock, of Halsey, Oregon; and sisters Esta Mast and husband Roy, of Chih, Mexico, Eunice Mast and husband James, of Chewelah, Wash., Melva Anne Zook and husband Marvin, of Red Lake, Ontario, Canada, Rhoda Mast and husband Dean, of Rutherfordton, N.C.

She was predeceased by a brother, Paul Schrock; and a grandchild, Jeffrey Klassen.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hopewell Mennonite Church, 14910 Harrisville Road, Mount Air.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Calvary Assembly, 8234 Woodsboro Pike, Walkersville. Interment will follow at Hopewell Mennonite Church Cemetery in Mount Airy.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Hopewell Mennonite Church, 14910 Harrisville Road, Mount Airy, MD 21771.

Funeral arrangements are by Molesworth-Williams Funeral Home in Damascus.
