June Wilhelm Brown age 83 of Hampstead passed peacefully Wednesday July 27, 2016 at the Longview Healthcare Center in Manchester. Born June 6,1933 in Trenton, MD she was the daughter of the late James Preston and Louise Martin Wilhelm. She was the wife of the late John David Brown who died Nov. 3, 2010. She was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manchester where she was part of the WELCA and very active in the church in past years. She was a member of the Hampstead Woman's Club and a 1951 graduate of Manchester High School. She liked to volunteer her time wherever needed. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed her family and friends. She enjoyed her grandson's baseball games and her granddaughter's dance recitals. Her family always made her laugh and very happy. She found joy in homemaking especially cooking, her flower gardens, reading her Bible, family vacations and having tea parties with her family and friends. She is survived by her children; Susan Yingling and husband Robert and David Brown and wife Amy, her grandchildren Jeffrey Yingling and wife Jennifer, Michael Yingling and fiancée Lindsey Shoul, and Abby Brown, her great grandchildren Ava and Olivia all of Hampstead, her siblings, James C. Wilhelm and wife Shelby of Manchester, Preston N. Wilhelm and wife Kim of Hampstead and Vicki Schmelz and husband Leroy of Cockeysville. She was also survived by brother in law Carl Myers of Manchester and sister in law and brother in law Alice and Dale Warehime of Manchester, her very dear friend Betty Sprinkle of Hampstead and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister; Betty Ann Myers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday August 3, 2016 from 3-5 and 7-9pm. at the Eckhardt funeral Chapel P.A. 3296 Charmil Dr., Manchester, MD and on Thursday from 10am. until 11am. at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3184 Church St., Manchester, MD where a funeral service will be held at 11:00am. with the Rev. Charles Marshall officiating. Interment will be in the New Lutheran Cemetery, Manchester. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 739, Manchester, MD 21102.
