Karen Irene Macleod, 51, of Manchester, died Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at Sinai Hospital Hospice Care.

Born June 12, 1961, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Alexander Joseph and JoAnn Cecelia Pallasch Kellar. She was the wife of James Warren Macleod.

She was a registered nurse and had worked for University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center. She was a member of St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church in Manchester and was a High Ridge 4-H Club Leader.

Surviving ,in addition to her husband, are children Alex Macleod and wife, Katy, of Westminster, and Tyler, Suzannah and Colton Macleod ,all of Manchester; a sister, MaryAnn Bradshaw, of Millers; and brothers Raymond Kellar, of BelAir, and Kevin Kellar, of Glyndon; and numerous other family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester.

A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Bartholomew's Roman Catholic Church, 2930 Hanover Pike, Manchester, with her pastor, the Rev. Fr. Michael Roach as celebrant. Interment will be in New Lutheran Cemetery in Manchester.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the Karen Macleod Memorial College Fund, to benefit Suzannah and Colton Macleod, c/o P.N.C. Bank, 2325 Hanover Pike, Hampstead, MD 21074.
