Karen M. Wisner, 72, of Hampstead, died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster.

Born Dec. 19, 1939, in Stevensville, she was the daughter of Ellen Hopkins Momberger, of Scottsdale, Ariz., and the late Carl Momberger.

Prior to retirement, she had worked in retail sales. She was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manchester. She was a member of North Carroll Senior Center in Hampstead, where she enjoyed playing bridge. She also enjoyed her cat.

Surviving, in addition to her mother, are daughter and son-in-law Melissa and Tony Spittel, of Manchester; a son, John Wisner Jr., of Westminster; a grandson, Kasey Weaver, of Hanover, Pa.; and a brother, Carl Momberger II, of Scottsdale, Ariz.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3184 Church St., Manchester, with her pastors, the Revs. Norma and Matthew Schenning officiating. Interment will be private.
