Kathryn Virginia "Kitty" Morgan, 97, of Westminster, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at Carroll Lutheran Village Healthcare Center.

Born Nov. 10, 1914, in Fairmont, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Mack U. and Icie Huffman Vincent. She was the wife of the late Russell H. Morgan, her husband of 69 years, who died in December 2005.

She graduated from East Fairmont High School in West Virginia in 1932. In addition to being a homemaker for most of her life, she enjoyed her family and their activities. Her interests included traveling, cooking, professional football and gardening.

She was a lifetime member of the Carroll County Hospital Auxiliary, a former member of the Melrose Homemakers Club and a member of the Carroll County Association for Family and Community Education.

Surviving are daughter and son- in-law Linda A. Morgan Payne and Robert D. Payne, of Westminster; grandchildren and spouses Angela and Josh Lindenmuth, of York, Pa., and David and Lauren Payne, of Ashburn, Va.; great-grandchildren Justin and Carter Lindenmuth, and Eva and Skara Payne; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Marjorie W. McDougal; and brothers George L., Arnold J. and Donald M. Vincent.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster, with the Rev. Douglas Hoffman officiating. Private interment will be in Meadow Branch Cemetery near Westminster.
