Kathy Lynn Snyder, 64, of Reisterstown, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2013.

Born March 12, 1948, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of Harold and Verna Shaffer, of Randallstown. She was the wife of Michael L. Snyder, her husband of 40 years.

She was a 1967 graduate of Milford Mill High School. She began working as a teller at Key Federal Savings and Loan Association, later K Bank, in Randallstown. During her 43 years there, she rose to the position of vice president. She enjoyed her work and was proud of her accomplishments at the bank. She was an active member of Wards Chapel United Methodist Church, serving as Youth Group leader and member of the finance and building committees.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family at their farm in Reisterstown. She also liked her beach house in the Harbour Island community in Ocean City, where she enjoyed sitting on her deck watching the boats.

Surviving, in addition to her parents and husband, are daughters Karyn Harris and husband Jason, and Katie Smith and husband Dale, all of Reisterstown; and grandchildren Owen, Sydney, Austin and Madison.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville.

A funeral service will be held at noon Wednesday at Wards Chapel United Methodist Church, 11023 Liberty Road, Randallstown, with the Rev. John Nupp officiating.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the Heritage Trust or Building Fund at Wards Chapel United Methodist Church, 11023 Liberty Road, Randallstown, MD 21133.
